Rollovers, parking and rhetoric….oh my! Headlines for 01.10.12

“A good newspaper is a nation talking to itself.”
Arthur Miller

It is January, and from what my colleagues tell me, that means a slower pace for the news. Usually, it’s cold outside in Ohio this time of year (the last week or so being an anomaly with temps in the 40s and 50s), and some people don’t want to go out…even to commit a crime. Schools just got back in session after Christmas break, and the government officers have all been swore in and nestled into their offices to serve their terms. In a small town, it doesn’t leave tons to write about, unless something bad happens. Of course, the paper still has to go out every day. It’s just a matter of searching to find the stories. And believe me, there are plenty of interesting stories at the state, national and international levels.
